Mark Hales - How To Drive DVDs 13-04-2010

WRITER & RACER MARK HALES TURNS DRIVING COACH

Mark Hales, the respected motoring journalist and vastly experienced race driver, will this year be offering one-to-one coaching at UK and European circuits.

Mark Hales has been racing at all levels for 37 years, during which time he has won nearly 200 races. For much of this time, he forged a parallel career as a motoring writer and author, contributing to most of the enthusiast publications at some time.

He is also the creator and presenter of the "How to Drive. . ." DvD series (available to purchase online through this website), and co-author (with Pink Floyd's Nick Mason) of "Into the Red". This is the book about Mason's extensive car collection, which this summer will appear as a third edition after a dozen years of publication.

Nearly four decades of racing has provided Mark with a great depth of experience as well as an opportunity to develop the complex mental tools, which are essential to an understanding of the track driver's art. Writing about it has given him the chance to develop effective communication techniques. The ability to express that understanding in a relaxed and non- technical style works with all ages and all levels of experience.

Whatever your level, whether you are just starting out in a Formula Ford single-seater, or are hugely experienced behind the wheel of a GT3; whether you even want to be a race driver, or simply enjoy track days, Mark's investigative approach and subtle coaching style will make your time on track more rewarding or more successful, preferably both.

"I'm delighted that we could identify such a clear improvement opportunity, so it was good value for me. And I appreciated your determination to find a way of helping me apply it! Despite my thinly-disguised frustration with myself, I had a good time and think it was a day v. well spent. Thanks for the company." Colin.

Remember, the top sports people and the best classical musicians all have their own coaches. A driver should be no different. Success is about understanding rather than simply imitating. You, too, can be a better track driver, once you know why as well as what. . .
