Ascari Race Resort is the personal triumph of circuit owner Klaas Zwart. He spent years searching for the best place around Europe to site the circuit by helicopter, and settled on this location in the warm climes of Southern Spain due to it's beautiful mountanous scenery and lack of any possible future residential developments anywhere nearby. In short, no noise problems!
Klaas formed the circuit layout from his favourite corners from some of the best circuits in the world - Spa, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Nordschleife and Silverstone. Zwaart also founded the Ascari Cars, who manufacture the awesome carbon chassis KZ1 supercar, which they also campaign in the FIA GT championships with some success.
