Nizhegorodskaya ring - to give the circuit it's full name - will be the first permanent racing circuit in Russia. Due to fully open in Spring 2010, the circuit has already hosted some amateur driving days and autotests. As with most new facilities, Nring is a multi-purpose venue, with 3 road courses, a drag strip, an oval course, test course, autocross course, and kart track. Off track facilities include a driver training centre, for both professionals and amateurs - this will teach race driving, extreme driving and defensive driving courses. A Childrens Driving Culture Centre will also be constructed, and the venue will also hold exhibitions and fairs.

The active construction of the first permanent racing circuit in Russia, set in the countryside 22 km from Nizhny Novgorod is now nearing its end.
