Kyalami means 'my home' in Zulu, one of South Africa's 11 national languages.
The circuit opened in 1961 and has since played host to F1, MotoGP, World Superbike and 9 hour endurance events.
The circuit now hosts 10 National motorsport events annually, including international level events.
Being an FIA internationally graded circuit means that the track is in great demand, as well as the motorsport events other activities regularly take place at Kyalami including driver training and education schools, motorcycle and superbike training sessions, car club days, super-car days, product launches, vehicle testing and development, cycling activities and numerous events and exhibitions.
