Croft Circuit is located near Dalton-on-Tees in north Yorkshire, England. The tarmac circuit is just over 2 miles (3 km) long and is based on the lands of an airfield, but has long since moved on from being a basic airfield circuit. The circuit holds meetings of prestigious championship events such as British Touring Car Championship, the British GT Championship, the British Formula 3 Championship and motorcycle races.
The super-fast sweeping curves of the Jim Clark Esses and Barcroft are a genuine white-knuckle, seat of the pants challenge, taken at 118mph and 129mph respectively in a current Formula Ford car. These sections combined with long straights followed by slow corners make for a scintillating track for both testing and racing.
Trackside quote:
"I love Croft, it has a good mixture of everything, It has some big commitment, high speed corners, as well as long straights and slow corners. The atmosphere there is great, the North-East crowds are brilliant and they really get stuck in with the cheering and the booing," Matt Neal, BTCC.
Time Zone : (GMT) Western Europe Time, London, Lisbon, Casablanca
