Losail International Circuit is the only circuit in the region with both FIA and FIM homologation licenses.
The circuit held it's inaugaural race in October 2004.
The first ever MotoGP Night Race was held here in 2008, as the circuit has full flood lighting. This enables testing around the clock, as does the perfect weather conditions for track activities from October to April.
The circuit is 30 Kilometers from Doha International Airport. Qatar Airways flies from here to over 70 destinations worldwide (7 hours flight from London, 6 hours flight form Germany, 10 hours flight from Japan).

The 2010 MotoGP season got off to a flying start under the floodlights tonight with a gripping Qatar Grand Prix and a perfect opening result for the Fiat Yamaha Team. The indomitable Valentino Rossi took his 104th career victory, his first in the opening round since 2005, whilst Jorge Lorenzo rode a clever race to finish a strong second.

Losail International Circuit is located on the North Relief Road, 30km north of Doha International Airport.
Taxis and hire cars are available at the airport to take you to the circuit.
Follow the Al Jamaaia road around the harbour, and then take the coast road toward Al Khawr, the circuit is about halfway there.
